Donatienne Michel-Dansac, soprano, studied at the Paris Conservatory where she won her prize for singing in 1990. She is regularly invited by many groups such as the ensembles SIC, Itinéraire, Sillages, Ictus, Court-circuit, the Tapiola Orchestra of Helsinki, the London Sinfonietta, the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France. A close collaboration with IRCAM since 1993 has enabled her to give first performances of many new works (Philippe Manoury, Pascal Dusapin, Luca Francesconi, Fausto Romitelli, Mauro Lanza, Georges Aperghis, Philippe Leroux, etc.). She also performs French, Italian and German baroque music (with Les Arts Florissants in particular), as well as the romantic and classical repertories. In 2001 she gave the first complete performance of the fourteen Récitations for solo voice by Aperghis at the Konzerthaus in Vienna (Wien Modern Festival). She has worked with the finest conductors, including Pierre Boulez, Sylvain Cambreling, Kazushi Ono and Jonathan Nott.
